This CardBus wifi adapter works with Linux (Fedora Core 6) with madwifi 0.9.3.3 (compiled and installed from source).

54M Wireless PCI adapter

This adapter works for me on a home-built box running Fedora Core 6. Linux did not initially recognize it at boot time, but it was simple to build and install the madwif driver package. The one necessary ingredient was to be sure to have the kernel-devel package installed (or the complete kernel sources).

Note also that madwifi creates two network devices, wifi0 and ath0. The first represents the hardware layer while the second is the sofware driver. So you control the interface through the second, ath0 (in place of, say, eth0).

Identification:

Saying `lspci` shows the card as
07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5005G 802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
Saying `lspci -n` to get the numerical device codes gives
07:00.0 0200: 168c:001a (rev 01)
